With a range exceeding 300 meters, Lear’s Two-Way RKE System controls and provides vehicle status for remote engine start, engine status, climate control settings, alarm status and any other information that is available on the vehicle communication network. Lear’s two-way proprietary modulation technique enables the maximum output power allowed by the FCC and China, and we’ve rigorously tested the fully water-sealed fob to absorb a four-meter drop. More than just an entry system, it records the history of engine start failure reasons and provides vehicle status in the fob LCD.
Our Ultra-Wideband Passive Entry Passive Start (UWB PEPS) offers remote keyless entry, hands-free starting, locking and unlocking, as well as Powered Tailgate with Proximity Sensing (PTPS) support. Lear engineers also focus on vehicle cost reduction by reducing the number of Low Frequency (LF) antennas, adding security by using UWB GHz technology and improving performance by using new LF technology.
